Kodiak Coast Walk
Mission: Develop and promote stewardship, restoration and maintenance projects for coastlines.

Summary: Kodiak Coast Walk is a volunteer marine debris clean up and removal program from 81 beaches that were deemed accessible from the Kodiak road system. Participants involved in the program (1) selected a specific beach or beaches that they would clean from the list on the ITN website (2) conducted the clean-up on a date of their choosing using ITN protocols (3) returned the marine debris to ITN, while reporting basic information about the beaches they cleaned,
Results: The 81 beaches identified for Coast Walk included a total of 27.9 miles of shoreline, of which total of 15.02 miles were cleaned by 459 participants. a total 47 of a possible 81 beaches (58%) were cleaned, totaling 4,600 lbs.
